Marguerite Johnson

Marguerite "Peg" Anderson Johnson, 91, of Brevard, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017. A native of Clinton, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Mae Gibbons Anderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Gerald F. and Raymond B. Anderson and by her son Robert E. Johnson.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, George "Earle" Johnson, Jr. Family includes: her daughter Barbara J. Orr and husband Jerry of Jonesboro, AR with grandsons Jerry D. Orr II, Jordon W. Orr and wife Shannon, great grandson Jackson T. Orr, granddaughter Sarah Orr Mancusi and husband Vincent with great granddaughter Abigail S. Mancusi; her daughter Deborah J. Whitener and husband Brent of Irmo, SC with grandson Matthew B. Whitener and wife Casey, great grandson James B. Whitener, grandson Ryan G. Whitener and wife Natalie; her son David G. Johnson and wife Susan of Waxhaw, NC with grandsons Corey L. Johnson and wife Amy, Mitchel R. Johnson, and Trent F. Johnson.
Marguerite was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brevard, NC. She lived her life serving others. No matter who you were or what time of day you entered her home, she greeted you with one of three phrases: "What do you want", "What do you need" or "What can I get you." Her devotion and love for her husband and family was endless.
A memorial service is planned for April 22, 2017. Details will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church Education Fund.
