Marianne Manuel

Marianne Manuel, 85, passed away on July 3, 2010 in Flat Rock, NC. She was born on May 25, 1925 in Macon, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Sara Ahearn and a sister, Sara Frances Seward.

Marianne has lived in California since 1929. She attended El Dorado School, graduated from Stockton High in 1939 and the College of the Pacific in 1947 with a BA in Education. She was a member of Lambda Theta Phi, Junior Aid, St. Joseph's Pink Ladies, Haggin Museum Auxiliary, and a charter member of the West Lane Tennis Club.

Marianne was the beloved mother of Ted Manuel of Murphys and Laura Carner and husband Rick of Hendersonville, NC. She was the cherished grandmother of Ezra (Kristie), Tyler (Amy), and Shannon Manuel and the great grandmother of Ethan and Zoe Manuel. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed the beach, homemaking, decorating, and her lifelong friends who will miss her dearly.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel in CA on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 1:00PM.
