Mary Hayes

Mary Castle Hayes, 88, of Pisgah Forest, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015. A native of Long Island, New York, she is the daughter of the late John and Ann Callan Castle.
She received her Bachelor's Degree from St. Joseph's College, NY. She was a devoted full-time wife and mother and church and community volunteer
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, William Thomas Hayes; her sons Mark Hayes of Hong Kong, Paul Hayes and wife Valerie of Pisgah Forest NC., Peter Hayes and wife Nancy of Long Meadow, MA., and her daughter Margaret Hayes and husband Ron Attinello of Montauk, NY.; her twin brother Thomas Castle and wife Adele of New Hyde Park, NY., sister Nancy Milano of Rockville Center, NY., brother William Castle and wife Lois of Stuart's Draft, VA., brother John Castle of Freeport, NY., and brother James Castle and wife Carol of Braintree, MA., nine grandchildren and three great-granddaughters.
The Funeral Mass for Mary Hayes will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brevard with Father Shawn O'Neal officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 PM on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Moore Funeral Home. Interment will be at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
