Mary Lee Moore



Brevard - Mary Lee Moore, 99, died Friday, October 3, 2008 at the Oaks of Brevard.

A native of Polk County, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Nannie Page Gash and was the husband of the late Charles F. Moore. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Stewart and Alfred Gash.

Mrs. Moore was a retired teacher, having taught in Transylvania and Henderson counties for 40 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brevard.

Surviving are her son, Charles F. Moore II and wife Ruth of Brevard; grandchildren, Avery Moser and husband Rob of Greenville, SC, and David Moore and wife Denita of Brevard; great grandchildren, Elisabeth, Mary and Johnathan Moore, and Robert, Charles, and Thomas Ashe Moser.

The graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday at Gillespie Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Hayes officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Activity Fund of KOALA, 242 Medical Park Dr., Brevard, NC 28712 or to the First Baptist Church of Brevard Foundation, 122 Gaston St., Brevard, NC 28712.
