Pisgah Forest - Mary Elizabeth Burgess Worley, 80, died Monday, May 30, 2011 at
her residence

A native of Transylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Cleve Burgess and Mary Simpson Burgess.

Mrs. Worley was a member of Boyleston Baptist Church. She graduated from Brevard High School, attended Technical College, and worked at Memorial Mission Hospital as a nurse.

She is survived by her husband Max Worley, two sons; Michael Worley and wife Rebecca of Brevard, NC and Keith Worley and wife Millie of Pisgah Forest, NC, four brothers; Howard Burgess and wife Margaret of Texas, Wayne Burgess and wife Beverly of Chattanooga, TN, Charles Burgess and wife Mary of Pisgah Forest, NC and Tommy Burgess and wife Lana of Brevard, NC, one sister; Martha Merrill and husband Rex of Pisgah Forest, NC, nine grand children; Chris Worley, Summer McNealy, Jake Worley, David Worley, Elisha Spears, Patrick Smith, Ben Smith, Jordan Hall and Adrienne Hall, 13 great grand children and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, June 2, 2011 at Boyleston Baptist Church with Rev. James Burress officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
