Mary Young

Mary Joyce Young, 85, of Brevard, NC went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2021.

She was a loving, caring mother and wife with a great sense of humor, an infectious laugh that filled any room, and a very strong woman of faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Clarence Lee and Mary Magdeline Holden.

Her survivors include her husband of 68 years, Wesley H. Young of the home, daughters Marilyn Cook and Wanda Robinson; son Alan Young and wife Teresa; sisters Martha Holden and Barbara Chandler and husband Dwayne; grandsons Nathan Kyle Young, Nathan Price, Asher Gaeta, Brandon Gaeta, Jodie Cook and wife Farrar, Derek Cook and wife Jessica; great-grandchildren Bryson and Cora Cook; several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held at 5:00 PM, Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Brevard Nazarene Church in Brevard, NC. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM-5:00PM.

She was a life-long member of Brevard Nazarene Church and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brevard Nazarene Church, 290 Old Hendersonville Hwy., Brevard, NC  28712.
