Melba Ramsburg, 82, of Brevard, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard. She was loved and will be missed by many. She was born in Letcher County, Kentucky to the late Jasper and Norsie Maggard Cornett. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Glenn Ramsburg, sons Hank and Roger Collins, and great-grandson Lawson Bishop.
Her hobbies included sewing and quilting, gardening, bingo and spoiling her grand children.
She is survived by her daughter, Debby Lambert Austin and husband Joe Austin of Brevard; sister Nila Smith of Pound, Virginia; grand-daughters Heather Turner of Brevard and Tracy Lamont Bishop and husband Jason of Clyde, NC; grandsons Chris, Brandon and Mitchell Collins of Asheville, NC; great-grandchildren Brianna Evans, Gabriel and Griffin Bishop, all of Clyde, NC.
There will be a graveside service at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest.
