Mildred Dobbins

Mildred Louise Ball Dobbins, 82, of Lake Toxaway, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021. A Transylvania County native, she was the daughter of the late Bernard Ball and the late Hester McGaha. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her three sisters: Ruth Catherine McGaha Perkins, Lottie Mae McGaha Fisher and Etta Mae McGaha Morgan; two sons, David Lee Dobbins, Sr. and Danny Earl Dobbins and grandson Joshua Dean Dobbins.

Mildred worked for the Transylvania County School System as a carrier for over 35 years before retiring in November 2009. She enjoyed walking with her three dogs every day.

She leaves behind a son, Bruce Alan Dobbins and wife Ruby of Rosman; grandchildren: David Lee Dobbins, Jr. of Wingate, NC, Mary Elizabeth Dobbins Galloway of Rosman, John Frank Taylor III of Rosman, Christopher Paul Taylor and wife Tiffany of Balsam Grove; 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Bradley H. Owen of Rosman and her 3 faithful companions: Suzie, Bonnie Sue and Bob.

The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations in Brevard.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to a local animal rescue center of your choice.
