Mildred Tinsley Williams



Brevard - Mildred Tinsley Williams, 81, died Friday, August 22, 2008 at her residence.

A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late C.E. Tinsley, Sr. and Adele Flynn Tinsley and was the devoted and loving wife of the late Clyde Williams who she was married to for 56 years. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Lottie McClung and Christine Jackson.

Mrs. Williams was a member of the Brevard Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are her sons, Ronnie Williams and wife Wanda of Brevard, and Tony Williams of Brevard; brothers, C.E. Tinsley, Jr. and wife Bonnie, Charles Tinsley, and Donald Tinsley and wife Martha all of Brevard; grandchildren, Tammy Staton and husband Danny of Brevard, NC, Mark Williams of Lexington, KY, Chuck Williams and wife Shelly of Brevard, Tina Owen and husband John of Mills River; great grandchildren, Dillon Staton, Tanner Staton, Tristan Staton, Josie Owen, Trey Williams, and Tyler Owens.

Mildred endeared herself to her family and friends with her quick wit and constant love. The family will remember her as the most wonderful mother and grandmother.

The graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Pisgah Gardens with the Revs. Morris Davis and Hank Moffitt officiating.
