Minnie Taylor

Minnie E. Taylor, 95, of Brevard passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015. A native of Marion, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Finis Elmer and Nanny Mary Hodges Travis. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death her husband, Guy L. Prowell, and husband Charlie Taylor; step-son Charles "Chuck" Taylor; brothers Ernest Travis and Lester Corley; and sisters Leatha Corley, Ella Paris and Mabel York.
A member of Cherryfield Baptist Church, she loved to work in her church, making draperies and painting Sunday School rooms as well as other little jobs in the church.
Her loving survivors include her children, Geraldine Prowell Conner, Ronald Prowell and wife Linda, and James Prowell and wife Lisa; step-daughter Charlotte Taylor; 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Taylor will be held at 2:00 on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Cherryfield Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Hensley officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 2:00, prior to the service.
