Mollie M. Whitmire

Brevard - Mollie M. Whitmire, 81, died Friday, February 12, 2010 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. A native of Transylvania County she was a daughter of the late Riley Luther McGaha and Margaret McCall McGaha.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Whitmire, Sr. who died in 1997 and four brothers Mack, Dub, Bruce and Brisco McGaha.

Survivors include two sons: Robert Lee Whitmire, Jr and wife Debbie, and Riley Lynn Whitmire and wife Ronda, all of Brevard, one brother: Robert McGaha of Jonesboro, Arkansas, one sister: Betty Mull of Mooresville, NC, six grandchildren: Ryan, Brea, Hailey, Luke, Johnny and Rachel Whitmire, five great grandchildren: Colby, Austin, Kaine, Cameron and Teya.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February15, 2010 at Midway Bible Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Calvert Church Cemetery.
