Myrtle Nancy Norris Gaddy

Brevard - Myrtle Nancy Norris Gaddy, 87, died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at her home. She was the daughter of the late James Harvey Norris and Ila Mae Raxter Norris. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William Marvin Gaddy, Sr.

She was the last living sibling of the Norris children originally from Transylvania County.

Myrtle was a beloved mother and grandmother. Her love and care for others extended far beyond her immediate family. She was a mother to many, a wonderful cook, seamstress, and gardener. She will be greatly missed.

Surviving are her sons; William M. Gaddy, Jr. and wife Linda, David Gaddy and wife Linda; granddaughter; Tanya Gaddy Owenby and husband Rocky; grandsons; Bradley and Shawn Gaddy; Great grandchildren; Corey, Ashley, Blake, and Courtney Gaddy, Laurel and John Morgan Owenby.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2010, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Owen officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pisgah Memorial Gardens.
