Naomi Monteith Wilde

Lake Toxaway - Naomi Monteith Wilde, 80, of Lake Toxaway passed away August 16, 2008 at her residence. She went peacefully while sleeping and is now rejoicing with her Lord and Savior.



She was an active member of North Toxaway Baptist Church for over 60 years. She thoroughly enjoyed her Friday night friendships at the jam sessions at the Lake Toxaway Community Center.



She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Festus C. Wilde, one daughter, Evelyn Hall and husband Jack of Lake Toxaway, one brother, Marvin "Spunk" Monteith of Brevard, two granddaughters, Tanya Dalton and husband Jake of Lake Toxaway and Tysha Owens and husband Nathan of Cherryfield, and five adored great-grandchildren, Shanequa, Kline, Chantel and Kaegan Dalton and Rettek Owens.



She was preceded in death by her parents James C. and Beulah McCall Monteith, a step-mother Dora Monteith and six siblings.



The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at North Toxaway Baptist Church with the Revs. Tommy Mullis, Tommy Owen, Kadez Wilde and Harold Sitton officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah Gardens.



The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at the church.
