Nellie Robinson

Lake Toxaway, North Carolina

Lake Toxaway - Nellie Johnson Robinson, 90, of Lake Toxaway, NC, ascended to Heaven on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 4:00 am at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals.
She was the daughter of the late William and Louellen Johnson of Clayton, GA. Mrs. Robinson was also preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Rev. Cecil A. Robinson, a son, Tommy Gene Robinson, two brothers, Michael Johnson of Glenville, NC and Dee Johnson of Marcola, OR, and a sister, Mary Buchanan of San Bernardino, CA.
Mrs. Robinson was a great Christian lady, a loving and dedicated pastor's wife, the best caring mother to her family, and a special ma-maw to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a very humble and kind person and always saw the good in everyone. She truly loved the Lord and always looked forward to going to church. She will be sorely missed by her family, friends and neighbors.
Survivors include her children, Shirley Lindsay and husband Bill of Lake Toxaway, Jimmy Robinson of Lake Toxaway, Doris Searcy and husband Eddie of Lake Toxaway, Glenn Robinson and wife Betty of Pisgah Forest, Inez McCall of Pisgah Forest, and Bobbie McCall and husband Vess of Brevard; grandchildren, Stacy Searcy, Chris Searcy, Shawndi Robinson, Jonathan Robinson, Kim Bailey, Brad Robinson, Kathy Miller, Herman McCall, and Berlinda Carson; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Oak Grove Baptist Church on Kim Miller Rd. in the Quebec Community of Lake Toxaway with the Revs. Jackie Hensley and Chris Norris officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 pm Friday at Moore Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Moore Funeral Home to assist the family with the funeral expenses.
