Norman Conrad Thomas
Brevard - Norman Conrad Thomas, 89, of Connestee Falls passed away September 8, 2011 peacefully at his residence with his family and his beloved dog Kiri by his side.

Norm was born on November 10, 1921 in Buffalo, NY. He attended the University of Rochester class of 1943 and was a member of the Alpha Delta Phi. He served in the US Navy in WWII and the Korean War.

He was a loving husband to the late Patricia Thomas. Norm enjoyed sports, ran marathons, played tennis, and enjoyed working out at the Wellness Center.

He is survived by his son Jeffrey Thomas and wife Kathleen and their children, Cole and Kara; a daughter, Marian Reed and husband David and their children, Christopher, Benjamin, Jeffrey, and Vincent.

Norman and Patricia enjoyed many journeys together visiting Jeff and his family in Oregon and Marian and her family in New Zealand. They were also loved and enjoyed by their extended families and friends abroad.

The Thomas family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Transylvania County Hospice for their outstanding love, care, and support to Norm and his family during his last days.
