Omilee Batson Potts



Brevard - Omilee Batson Potts, 80, of Brevard, died peacefully, April 6, 2012 surrounded by her family.



She was a daughter of the late Thomas Clayton Batson and Maudie Lee Brown and was preceded in death by her husband James Ernest Potts, Sr. who died 1996. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.



She was a long standing member of Little River Baptist Church in Penrose, NC. She was a devoted and loving mother and especially loved cooking and spending time with her family and friends.



She is survived by two daughters; Kathy Kelley and husband Scott of Brevard, NC and Kimberly Wellman and her husband Chuck of The Woodlands, TX., two sons, two brothers; Monroe Batson of Greenville, SC and Ed Batson of Woodruff, SC, six Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.



A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Brevard Davidson River Presbyterian Church, Brevard, NC with Rev. Keith Thompson and Rev. Robert Singdahlsen officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Davidson River Fellowship Hall at the church.  Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.



In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, P. O. Box 7669, Atlanta, GA. or Four Season Hospice and Palliative Care, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC  28712
