Ora H. "Hope" Long Anderson





Brevard - Ora H. (Hope) Long Anderson, 89, died Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Transylvania Community Hospital.

She was a daughter of the late Roy and Christine Long of Brevard and was wife of the late Denton Anderson who died in 1974. She was also preceded in death by a son, Alan Denton Anderson, who died in 1957.

She was a member of Brevard Book Club, Town Library Committee, Episcopal Church Women and UDC.

Surviving is her son, Roy Long Anderson of Honolulu, Hawaii.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 27th at 2 PM in the St. Philip's Episcopal Church Chapel with Rev. Maria Hoecker officiating. A private burial will be held at Gillespie-Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church parlor hosted by the Episcopal Church Women.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Philip's Episcopal Foundation, 256 E. Main St., Brevard, NC 28712.
