Peter Hagicostas

Peter Hagicostas, 85, of Brevard, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 2016 at The Oaks of Brevard. He was born in Akron, Ohio on January 6, 1930 to Pantelis and Anna Hagicostas. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister Mary Demas and his brother Nicholas Hagicostas.

"Uncle Peter" was gentle, helpful and kind to every living creature. He was a proud Navy Veteran of the Korean War and loved Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Oz and Billy Graham.

He was a beloved son, brother and uncle. He is survived by his sister Irene and brother-in-law Jack Farash of Brevard and brother Angelo and sister-in-law Photine Hagicostas of Ocean Springs, MS., and also nieces and nephews Jo-Ann, Peter, Penelope, Ann, Sunday, John, Peter and Christina.

A Funeral Service for Peter Hagicostas will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Moore Funeral Home in Brevard. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest. The family will receive friends from 1P.M. until 2 P.M., prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 227 Cumberland Ave., Asheville, NC 28801.
