Phil Miller

Phil Howard Miller, 81, of Brevard, passed away on October 30, 2014. A native of Memphis, Tennessee he was the son of the late Howard and Zora Waggoner Miller. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister, Elsie C. Miller Hall, and nephew Steven Hall.
A graduate of Memphis State University, Mr. Miller worked as a chemist and later in management for Union Carbide. He was an exceptionally talented and gifted man in many areas including woodworking, photography and amateur (H.A.M.) radio operation.
Mr. Miller's loving survivors include his wife of 60 years, Gloria Cross Miller; daughter Julie Miller Whitworth and husband Thomas of Powder Springs, GA; son Jeffrey Alan Miller of West Virginia; granddaughters Bonnie Prewett and husband Jarred, and Mary Beth Krusac and husband Brandon; and great-grandchildren Owen and Lydia Prewett; nephews Harry Hall, Jr., Dennis Hall, George Hall and Greg Hall and niece Sherri Hall.
The Memorial Service for Mr. Miller will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 1, 2014 in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Smith officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to "Us Too International", 2720 S. River Road, Suite 112, Des Plaines, IL 60018.
