Ramona Mccarty Adame'

Ramona Faye McCarty Adame, 81 of Brevard, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. Born in Crawdfordsville. Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Gladys Parke Emmons.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Dale McCarty; and her sisters Marilyn and Claudia and her brothers David and Michael.

A dedicated teacher and servant the Lord, she was also an outstanding wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to travel the world and was a lover of languages.

She was a Christian both in faith and in her actions. She was also a gifted pianist and musician.

Her loving survivors include her husband, Jose’ Adame; her daughters: Mindy Galbrath (Sam) of Lincolnton, NC, Melissa Breedlove (Jerry) of Anderson, IN, and Marilyn Kohl (Henry) of Syracuse, IN; grandchildren Megan Walstra, Ashly Cruz, Ken Galbrath, Anna Galbrath, Kirstie Kohl and Amy Hoskins and 19 great-grandchildren; her brother Malcolm Emmons (Chris) of LaFayette, IN and her sister Phyllis Emmons of Lafayette, IN.

A Memorial Service for Ramona McCarty Adame will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brevard with Father Shawn O’Neal officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the hospice of your choice.
