Randall Eskew

Randall Eskew, 78, of Spruce Pine, NC passed away July 2, 2018 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital with his wife by his side. A native of Greenville, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Teasley and Rosa Lee Teague Eskew. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Raymond Eskew.

He served his country proudly for 22 years in the US Air Force serving in the Vietnam War. His passion was spending time with his family.

His survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Jeane Grindstaff Eskew, five children, Cathleen Blanchard of Brevard, NC, Vincent Smith (Tammi) of Mt Pleasant, SC, Randall Smith of Spruce Pine, NC, Lt Col Denise Lennon (Tim Lucas) of Melbourne, Fl, Deborah Smith (Jess) of Rockland, Maine; three brothers: Calvin Eskew, (Judy) of Taylors, SC, Bill Eskew, (Thelma) of Greenville, SC, Charles Eskew (Shirley) of Greenville, SC; two sisters: Shirley Arrowood, Greenville, SC and Sandra Eskew-Jones, Greenville, SC; five grandchildren: Christine Fournier, Ryan Smith, Heather Waldrop, Brittany Townsend and Austin Williams; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Randall Eskew will be private. Military Rites will be conducted by the United States Air Force Honor Guard (Shaw AFB) and the Transylvania County Honor Guard.

Graveside services will be held at Snow Hill Cemetery, Bakersville, NC with Rev. Dean Hunnicutt officiating.
