Robert Eugene Lambert
Penrose - Robert Eugene Lambert, 56, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 28, 2011.

Born on September 2, 1954, he was a son of the late Carl and Louise Lambert.

Robert served honorably in the United States Navy from 1972 - 1978 on board the USS Independence as Plane Captain for the VF-102 Diamondbacks. He devoted 28 years of service as a machine operator for Ecusta, and three years most recently working as a Journeyman Surveyor for Fluor Daniels.

Robert was an avid outdoorsman and deer hunter and a member of Little River Baptist Church.

Surviving is his wife of 34 years, Paula Austin Lambert, two brothers; Eddie Lambert of Gray, TN and Ernie Lambert of Brevard; two daughters, Robin Strait of Rock Hill, SC and Carol Walker of Brevard; two grandchildren, Callie Rose and Austin Walker, and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2011 at Little River Baptist Church at 1pm with the Rev. Jeff Maynard officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
