Robert Bradley Marcum, age 47, of Brevard, was called home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2014.
Brad was the beloved son of James Robert Marcum and the late Winnie Sue Wright Marcum, and the proud father of two children, Brittany Leanne Marcum and Bronson Robert Marcum.
A life-long resident of Transylvania County and dedicated business owner of Marcum's Buck and Bass, Brad was a well-known and cherished member of the community. He loved adventure, practical jokes, cozy log cabins, and a good rack of ribs. With his contagious laugh and a heart the size of Texas, Brad put a smile on everyone's face. He lived a short but full life. This Harley-riding, mud-slinging, volleyball-playing rebel could find fun in every situation. His love of life, fun, and laughter will never be forgotten.
Brad had a fervent, unwavering faith in the Lord and attended church regularly. He always carved time in his day for devotions and prayer. His kind and compassionate spirit was apparent. He was always more concerned about others than himself and was incredibly giving of his time and money.
He is preceded in death by his mother Sue, and is survived by his father, Jim and wife Eleanor; children Brittany and Bronson Marcum; step brothers Rick and Brian Pate; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
We will celebrate his life with a service on Tuesday, January 6 at Enon Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with interment following at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive visitors at Moore Funeral Home on Monday, January 5th, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.
