Robert Preston "Bob" Miller, 63, passed away on Friday, August 24, 2012 at his residence.



He was born in Fort Knox, KY to the late Howard Preston Miller and Betty H. Miller.



Mr. Miller proudly served his country as a Door Gunner on a Chinook Helicopter in Vietnam in 1968/1969. He was an avid fly fisherman and a chess player.



In addition to his mother, Bob is survived by his brother Keith Miller and wife Kay Shockley of Oxford, NC.



A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
