Brevard - Robert Eugene Purcell, 77, passed away, Friday, October 8, 2010 at Tores Home.

He was born in Dekalb County, GA to the late Frank Maddison and Sarah Francis Turner Purcell.

Mr. Purcell was a member of the Selica United Methodist Church in Brevard.

He is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Theresa Hutchins Purcell; daughters, Mary Jane Rigatti and Husband Mark of Atlanta, GA, Cathey Clements of North Atlanta, GA, Laurie Smith and Husband David of Stockbridge, GA; son, Chris Purcell of Decatur, GA; sister, Barbara Ann Entsminger of Nashville, TN; a brother, Gilford Taylor of Jasper, GA; seven grandchildren and one great child on the way.

The family will receive friends at Moore Funeral Home on Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 6pm until 8pm. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 2:30pm at Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry, GA. A Memorial Service will be held at Selica United Methodist Church in Brevard on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 11am with the Rev. Ann Self officiating.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, PO Box 6011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
