Pisgah Forest - Danny Newton, 56, of Pisgah Forest died June 3, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Asheville, NC.

Danny was a son of Christine Newton of Pisgah Forest and the late Ted Newton who died in 2005. He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Charlie Davis who died in 1982 and a great nephew, Shelby Newton who died in 2008.

He lived hard, died young and left beautiful memories. He loved his family, enjoyed riding his motorcycle with friends and attended AA meetings and lived life by "Danny's terms". He will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter; Tasha Danielle Newton and husband Kenny Smith of Hendersonville, NC, two brothers; Roger and wife Romona of Pisgah Forest, NC, and Ted Newton of Jacksonville, FL, one sister; Brenda Newton and J. B. Howard of Asheville, NC, two grand children; Gavin Kaleb Hooper and Sarah Danielle Newton, numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, Sunday, June 5, 2011 with Rev. Ron Nelson officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30PM- 2:45PM, prior to the service. Burial will follow at Pisgah Gardens.
