Ruth Bintzler

Pisgah Forest -

Ruth Frances Bintzler, 90, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011 at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville.

She was born in Baltimore, MD in 1921 to the late Forrest and Alice Gifford Alger. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Charlotte Houting; brothers, Morton, Richard and William Alger; sons, George E. McClellan and William Bintzler.

She was a life long resident of Naperville, IL after moving there in 1940. In 1989, she and her husband moved to Pisgah Forest where she was an active member of the English Chapel and Glen Cannon Country Club. Ruth loved reading, playing bridge and cribbage, and was an avid sports fan.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, John (Jack) Bintzler, her sister; Marion Hajduk of Oldsmar, FL, her daughters; Sandra Rowland of Jasper, GA, and Barbara Densley (Aaron) of Virginia Beach, VA, her granddaughters; Rebecca Aaron and Danette Lambert, her great grandsons; Nick Rowland, Jake and Joe Lambert, and her great granddaughter; Emma Rose Aaron

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
