Sallie Clark Reese

Brevard - Saliie Clark Reese, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 17, 2009 at the Brian Center.
A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Porter Clark and Lucy Ada Gravley Clark and was the wife of the late Rev. Kermit W. Reese. She was also preceded in death by a son, James Mack Reese, a daughter-in-law, Ella Mae Shipman Reese, and a number of brothers and sisters.
"Miss Sallie" was a member of Carsons Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda R. Payne and husband Dana of Brevard; sons, Gerald Reese and wife Jane of Rosman, Robert C. "Butch" Reese and wife Norma of Brevard, Howard K. Reese and wife Susie of Brevard, Avery E. Reese and wife Joyce of Brevard, and Tommy Reese and wife Debbie of Cleveland, TN; daughter-in-law, Ann Whitmire and husband Ned of Hendersonville; sister, Polly Jones of Anderson, SC; 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11 am Wednesday at Carsons Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Don Waters and Doug Tankersley officiating. Burial will be in Big Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home, and from 10 am until 10:45 am Wednesday at the church.
