Samson Lee Smith

Samson Lee Smith, 59, of Brevard, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Willie Lewis Smith and Bessie Elaine Smith. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Hampton Lee Parks.

His loving survivors include his sister, Nioca Robinson (Leonard), his brothers: Guy Willie Lewis Smith, Allen Troy Smith, and Gardner McKay Smith; nephew David Deophlous Robinson; niece Jenna Lasha Wassirman (Kevin); and great-nieces Amyiah Nicole, Addison Grace, Robinson Simpson, and many special friends and loved ones.

Having never met a stranger, he was always finding work to do and friends to make. Kindhearted and gentle, he was able to make friends fast. He enjoyed movies and television, and always had a joke or story at hand.

A Memorial Service for Samson Smith will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Bethel A Baptist Church in Brevard with Rev. Dr. Pamela Holder officiating.
