Shelby Megan Godlove

Shelby Megan Godlove, 28, of Brevard, passed away on August 31, 2024. A native of Brevard, she was the daughter of Melissa Claxton. She was preceded in death by her sister, Stephanie Godlove. 

A graduate of Catawba Valley Community College, she enjoyed athletics and always being active, particularly outdoors. With an unwavering faith in God, she enjoyed working and being outside, whether fishing, gardening or any type of outside activity. 

She enjoyed taking road trips, just to enjoy the ride and always wanted to look her best wherever she went. She was a fierce friend to those in her life. 

She loved her family and she loved her dogs: London, Luna and Nina.

Her survivors include her mother, Melissa Claxton (James); sisters: Danielle Sweezy (Bryan) and Trista Godlove; father, Wayne Godlove III; and several nieces and nephew.

Funeral services for Shelby Godlove will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 in the chapel of Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 3:00 PM.
