Shelia Cassell Hooper

Shelia Cassell Hooper, 67, of Brevard, went to be with the Lord on the evening of July 4, 2024. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by close family and her loving husband, Dwight. A native of Brevard, she was the daughter of the late Bert and Dorothy (Dot) Cassell. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Roper.

Shelia was a 1975 graduate of Brevard High School. That summer she married Dwight on June 28.

Her loving survivors include her husband of 49 years, Dwight Hooper; their children Shane Hooper (Lindsey) and Kristen McCrary (Marcus); her grandchildren: Hailey, Huck, Daniel and Evangeline Hooper and Sophia McCrary.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Turkey Creek Baptist Church in Pisgah Forest with Rev. Shannon Owen officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time for the service. Interment will follow the service at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest.
