Terry Wayne Plott, 64, of Hendersonville, took his final truckload, on October 26, 2021. A native of Henderson County, he was the son of Reid Conner and the late Texie Marie Stansell Conner.
A true “gentle giant”, he loved to instigate arguments, only to make people laugh. He always wanted to be a comedian and told an endless number of “dad jokes.” His CB handle as a truck driver was “Nervous Wreck” which some said described his passengers as much as himself.
He loved the outdoors and never passed up a good meal, but his great joy was his family, particularly his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline Carpenter; children Connie McCall (Robert), Teresa Smith (Michael), Jeremy Plott (Crystal) and Terry R. Plott (Casey); grandchildren James Lewellen, Akya McCall, River Smith, Aria Plott, Maddox Plott, Zayden Plott and Noah Plott; five brothers: Tim Plott, Tony Plott, Dale Bradley, Stacy Bradley and Scott Bradley and a host of nieces and nephews and a special friend Lora Arnold.
A Memorial Service will be held for Terry Plott, on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Apple Valley Church of God, 2822 Chimney Rock Road, Hendersonville, NC 28792, with Pastor Don Littleton officiating.
Memorials may be made to Thrive Clubhouse Fund, 218 W. Allen Street, Suite B, Hendersonville, NC 28739, or online at thrive4health.org.
