Therman Thomas Dockery

Brevard - Therman Thomas Dockery, 83, died Monday, August 24, 2009 at The Oaks of Brevard.
A native of Andrews, NC, he was the son of the late Nathan and Alice Postell Dockery and was the husband of the late Louise Nesbitt Dockery.
Mr. Dockery was the former principal of Penrose and Strauss Elementary Schools, a member and Deacon of Blantyre Baptist Church, was a member of the Lions Club, and was a member of the Transylvania County Retired Teachers Assoc. He enjoyed reading.
Surviving are his brothers, Carl Dockery and wife Ann of Mooresville, NC, and Johnny Dockery of California; sister, Doris Wilson of Andrews, NC; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday at Blantyre Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
