Lake Toxaway
Thomas Erwin Craig, 60, passed away peacefully at home with his faithful dog Willie by his side on Monday, December 24. Tom came to the Lake Toxaway, NC in 1998 after retiring from a career in corporate loss prevention. He loved the mountains and being surrounded by the glories of nature. Every year, Tom looked forward to the leaves changing as fall approached and the Christmas season when he would dress as Santa Claus.
Tom was born and raised in Lakewood, Ohio. He graduated from Florida State University with a degree in English. He is pre deceased by his parents, Elizabeth and William Craig, and siblings Bill, Cynthia, and Cubby. Tom is survived by his daughter Lisa Soyka and husband Dan, son Brandon Craig and wife Lindsey, grandson Charlie, and extended family.
Tom was a gentle soul who will be deeply missed by many. A celebration of Tom's life will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11am at Rosman United Methodist Church 105 Church Dr, Rosman 28772.

to help Tom's son in law in his battle with Lou Gehrig's disease. This is a cause that was very dear to Tom. He was a gentle soul who will be deeply missed by many.
