Thomas Lowe McKee, 94, of Brevard, NC passed away on November 14, 2013 at the Tore's Home #3.

He was the son of the late Ralph Lowe McKee and Margaret McKee Chambers. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Jessie Tobias McKee, two sons Randolph Lowe McKee and Thomas Lowe McKee.

Thomas was an Army Air Force Veteran serving during WWII between 1941 and 1945. He was an active volunteer working for Habitat for Humanity. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Life really began when he and Jessie retired to Brevard.

Thomas is survived by two daughters; Peggy Ayres and her husband Barry, and Susan Martin and her husband Stephen, six grandchildren; Elizabeth McKee and her husband Jaime Hall, Lowe McKee, Christopher McKee, Abby McKee, Jennifer Martin, and Jason Martin, two great grandchildren; Jenesis Martin and Christopher Jhevon Martin, and two daughters in law; Jeanne McKee and her husband David Passmore and Carolyn McKee.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at St. Philips Episcopal Church, 256 E. Main St., Brevard with The Rev. Robert D. Field officiating. A committal service will be held prior to the memorial service at 1:30 PM at St. Paul's in-the-Valley Cemetery including Military Honors provided by Honor Guard for the Veterans of Transylvania County.
