Virgil Hogsed

Virgil Ray Hogsed, 64, of the Silversteen Community, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Burlin and Doris Mae Owen Hogsed. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother Burlis Hogsed.

A man with a good sense of humor, he loved to tinker and repair things, play gospel music on his guitar, and sometimes sit and ponder things not of this earth.

His survivors include his wife, Rhonda Owen Hogsed; sons Joshua D. Hogsed (Debbie) of the Silversteen Commmunity and Kyle Hogsed (Tiffany) of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren Katilyn Hensley (Zach), Randall Hogsed, Samuel Hogsed and Benjamin Hogsed; sisters Mary H. McCall, Margaret H. Owen and Kathy H. Powell; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services for Virgil Hogsed will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Mack McCall Cemetery in the Silversteen Community.
