Virginia P. Batchelor

Pisgah Forest - Virginia P. Batchelor, 87, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at her residence. A native of Boalsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Daniel Patterson and Teresine Kimport Patterson and was the wife of the late Norman Batchelor. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Teresine Nettles of Florida.
Mrs. Batchelor was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd of Brevard.
Surviving are her children, Norman Batchelor II and wife Millie of Nevada, Charles Batchelor and wife Marsha of Raleigh, Carolyn McCarthy and husband Larry of Atlanta, GA, Betsy Snoznik and husband Art of Pisgah Forest, John Batchelor and wife Linda of Tennessee, and John Kinser and wife Helen of Sumter, SC; brother, William Patterson and wife Bernice of Florida; grandchildren, Teresine, Charles, Kerri, Alison, Alice, Joe, Samantha, Sarah, Andy, Carla, Jaci, Matt, Bryan, Lauren, Adam, Clay, Adrienne, Whitney, Frankie, Seth, Craig, and Heather; 33 great- grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
The memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd with the Rev. Richard Handschin officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local Hospice or to the American Cancer Society.
