Warren Shelton

Warren Stanford Shelton, 83, of Lake Toxaway, NC, passed away March 13, 2016. A native of Jackson County, NC, he was the son of the late John Oscar "Bud" Shelton and the late Mary Etta Owen Shelton. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister Cleo Shelton and his brothers Vernon Shelton and Leo Shelton.

He was a U. S. Army Veteran and served during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Owen Shelton; children Michael David Shelton of Lake Toxaway, Warren Shelton (Brenda) of Rosman, Wayne Shelton of Brevard, Scottie Shelton of Lake Toxaway and Kristi Shelton (Jimmy Robards) of Lake Toxaway; grandchildren Devan Riddle, Shanna Riddle, Tyler Ramsey and Taylor Robards; great-grandchildren Noah Talley and Isaiah Talley; his brother Buddy Shelton of Brevard; and sisters Christine Baity of Waynesville, NC; Loretha Shuler (David) of Waynesville, Nancy Owen of Castle Rock, WA, Doris Jones (Charlie) of Lake Toxaway and Debra Wells (Pete) of Pisgah Forest, NC.

A Memorial Service for Warren Shelton will be held at 1:00 on Friday, March, 18, 2016 at Moore Funeral Home.
