Wilbren Baynard

Wilbren Baynard, 80, of Pisgah Forest, NC, passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 at Transylvania Regional Hospital.

He was the son of the late Marson Baynard and Millie Simpson Baynard. He was preceded in death by his three sisters; Evelyn Sitton, Thelma Lyday and Marie Hampton, one brother; Leora Baynard, three sister-in-law's; Flora Coren, Edith Metcalf and Ruth Hipps.

Wilbren served and retired in the US Air Force as an Aviation Electrician, he loved serving his country and his God. His wife Dottie followed Wilbren, as he served all over the world. She was always there beside her man.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dottie Baynard, two special nieces; Evon Goede and Joyce Phillips and one special nephew; Steve Lyday and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm,Thursday , July 11, 2013 at Turkey Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Tommy Owen and Rev. Raymond Whitfield officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30am -1:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest, NC.

Pallbearers will be Michael Baynard, Roger Orr, Darius Rogers, Languin Baynard, Flint Sitton, Greg Sitton and Jeff Shuford.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Turkey Creek Baptist Church, 805 Capps Road, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768.
