William Dienes

William Dienes, 94, of Pisgah Forest, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Czako Dienes. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Ruth Dienes; brothers Ladd Dienes, John Dienes and Paul Dienes; and also his sisters Betty MacCurdy and Rose Dienes.

Mr. Dienes was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II.
The family moved to Brevard in 1973, and he worked at the N.A.S.A. Tracking station in Rosman before transferring to White Sands, NM until retirement.
His hobbies included fishing, bowling and tinkering with various do-it-yourself projects around the house.

He is survived by his children, Marilyn Huamanchumo of Indian Trail, NC and Tim Dienes of Charlotte, NC; grandson Mike Jones of New York, New York; and his sister Emma Frenchak of Burton, Ohio.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 1, 2017 at The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd with Pastor Mary Shore officiating. Graveside Services will be held at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The North Carolina National Guard and the Transylvania County Honor Guard will perform Military Rites.
