William "Red" Galloway

Pisgah Forest-William "Red" Galloway, 68, of Pisgah Forest, NC died at his residence on June 20, 2011 from injuries sustained in an accident.

Red was a native of Transylvania County and was a son of the late Lowery "Chief" and Ruth McCall Galloway. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Galloway and a daughter; Mandy Brotherton.

He was employed at Ecusta for many years as a printer and he owned and operated Tri-County Services. He was a member of the Baptist faith. He loved his family, helping others and working outside with his bobcat.

He is survived by his loving wife of 12years, who will miss him terribly, Brenda Shook Galloway, of Pisgah Forest, NC, two sons: Mark Galloway and wife
Allyson, of Forest City, NC, and Donnie O'Shields of Brevard, NC five daughters; Marie Burkhart and husband Robert of Asheboro, NC, Kim Lambrecht and husband Don of Etowah, NC, Stephanie Rodriguez and husband Nathaniel of Rosman, NC, Christine Wall of Charleston, SC, and Wendy Law of Pickens,SC, three sisters; Carolyn Galloway of Rosman, NC, Ella Mae Wilson and Betty Jean Davis both of Brevard, NC, one sister-in-law; Geneva Galloway of Brevard, NC, 15 grand children, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.


A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home, Thursday, June 23, 2011 with Rev. Ron Nelson officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home form 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service.
