William Plowden

WILLIAM ARIEL PLOWDEN of Sapphire NC passed on to his next life on November 25, 2019. He was born on December 23, 1963 in Sumter SC. He is predeceased by his father, Arthur Davis Plowden Jr; his mothers, Patricia Sims Plowden and Mary Epps Culley; two brothers, David Edward Plowden and Ronald Keith Plowden; a step-mother, Margaret Rowland Plowden; a step-brother, Cabell Carrington Rowland; a mother figure, Marie Miller; his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

William is survived by two siblings, Arthur Davis Plowden III and Jeanne Plowden Hall (Mark); his niece, Victoria Plowden Rumbold: his nephew, Arthur Davis Plowden, IV; his niece, Margaret Hunter Hall; his nephew, William Colter Hall; his step-siblings, Charles G. Rowland, III (Sylvia), Earle Rowland (Denise) and Louise Burns (Jim); a step-father, Ronnie Culley; and his many cousins and friends.

William attended Wilson Hall in Sumter, Clemson University, Georgia Tech and he was a Seaman E-3 in the US Navy.

He had a constant thirst for knowledge, the more complex the better. He could explain almost any difficult issue and he loved to work with his hands in wood working. He was a compassionate and generous person and loved to help when he could and was able. He loved his dogs over the years, they were his children.

He is now surrounded, protected and feeling the love of his family who have already passed and those he left behind will miss his sweet soul on earth.

A private service will be held in his memory by his family.
