William Sizemore

Rev. W.G. "Buddy" Sizemore, 86, of Pisgah Forest left this world to be present with Jesus on October 24, 2013 at the Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard.

Buddy was born December 29, 1926 and was the son of the late Dewey Sizemore, Sr. and Emma Ann Mull. He is preceded in death by his wife Ollie Mae Blankenship Sizemore.

Buddy served in the U.S. Navy, was an evangelist and pastor for over 40 years, and was a mentor and prayer warrior for not only his family, but many other friends and pastors. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved Psalm 121.

Buddy is survived by three sons, Bill Sizemore and wife, Sheila of Arden; Charles Sizemore and wife Donna of Pisgah Forest and Jerry Sizemore of Kingsland, GA; two daughters, Linda Skeens and husband, Greg, of Jacksonville, FL and Rita Register and husband, James of Kingsland, GA; one brother Dewey Sizemore, Jr. Sizemore and wife Dollie of Simpsonville, SC; three sisters Emma Anne Clark of Brevard, Josephine Parker and husband Perk of Brevard, Mary Mae Bullock of Hertford, NC; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, October 28, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Mission Church, 100 Cemetery Road, Pisgah Forest, NC with Rev. Bill Bruner, Rev. Joe Chapman, Rev. Joe Cox and Rev. Ron Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the church. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest, NC.

Memorial contributions can be made to Calvary Baptist Mission Church, 100 Cemetery Road, Pisgah Forest, NC.
