Wilma M. Henson

Brevard - Mary Wilma Monteith Henson, 94, died Monday, February 23, 2009 at the Brian Center, Brevard.
A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Nettie Wilson Monteith Sr. and was the wife of the late William P. Henson. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Monteith Moody, and her brothers, John Wesley Monteith, Jr., and Randall Eugene Monteith.
Mrs. Henson was retired from Olin Corp. and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Brevard.
Surviving are her daughter, Kathleen H. Talbert and husband Harold of Asheville; son, Doug Henson and wife Snookie of Brevard; grandchildren, Rick Talbert of Asheville, Debra Talbert St. Petersburg, FL,
Kathy Henson of Laurinburg, NC, and Susan Henson of Winston-Salem, NC; sister, Margaret Monteith Jones of Clyde.
The graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday at Pisgah Gardens with the Rev. Mike Jordan officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Brevard, 325 N. Broad St., Brevard, NC 28712.
