Yancy Rhodes

Yancy Ray Rhodes, 86, of Penrose, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard. He was born November 21, 1927 in Baldwin County, GA to the late Tony and Sudie King Rhodes. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandson Logan Rhodes Barnhouse.

He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Hamilton Rhodes, two daughters, The Rev. Marsha R. Roberts and husband Kenneth C. Roberts of Rock Hill, SC and Dr. Suzanne Rhodes Draayer and husband Bill Draayer of Winona, Minnesota; granddaughters Keli Christine Barnhouse of Penrose and Maureen Collier of Richmond, Virginia.

Graveside services for Mr. Rhodes will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Little River Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Karen Easter and the Rev. Marsha R. Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 14, 2014, from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be Dave Norris, David Hannah, Taylor Mackey, Bobby Wilson, Bill Siniard, "Guis" Siniard and Sam Woodruff.
