Yvonne Mingus

Yvonne Gash Mingus, 93 passed away on October 19, 2012 at Transylvania Regional Hospital.



She was born in 1919 to the late James and Hettie Thomas Gash. She was also preceded in death by her husband Lewis Mingus and her son Jerry W. Gash who is survived by his wife, Doris L. Gash, our sister.



Mrs. Mingus loved and worked for Mr. and Mrs. Plummer for many years as a housekeeper. She also worked and retired from Brevard College after 64 years as a dietician.



She is survived by her three children; Joyce E. Houston, Dwight L. Gash (Ann), Patricia A. Wells(Thomas); a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, loved ones and dear friends.



The Gash family would like to thank Transylvania Regional Hospital Staff for the great love and care they gave to their mother and grandmother during her stay. The family would also like to thank the hospital staff for the care of their entire family



A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00PM, at Bethel A Baptist Church on Friday, October 26, 2012 with the Pastor Frederick Gordon officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
