Zora Valice Wynn

Zora Young Wynn, 70, of Brevard, transitioned on July 12, 2024 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Born and raised in Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Eddie and Nettie Lou Smith Young.

A wonderful woman who loved God and praised Him, she was giving of her time, her love and her friendship to those who knew her. She was always giving, and willing to help people in need.

Always finding new ways to be creative in her life, she loved to cook and entertain family and friends. Decorating was a passion and purple was her favorite color. 

As much as she enjoyed the world around her that God blessed her with, she loved her greatest blessing, her family, most of all.

Her loving family she leaves behind includes her children: Taleta Rabb, Samuel Young (Shelice) and Gary Wynn, Jr.; grandchildren: Christopher Washington, Keenan Young, Marqel Kerber, Jada Young, Nakeyah Rabb, Audrianna Barton, Amayah Young, Marcus Stamey, Heaven Rabb, Simeon Young, Zorion Wynn, Xaidyn Wynn, Austin McCathren, Arion Young, Solomon Young, Noah Wynn, and Amora Wynn; great-grandchildren: Mariah Young, Nalani Rabb, Lennox Kerber, Laronnah Newborn, Keiyona Newborn, Kameah Newborn and Alaia Young; her siblings: Morris Young, Sr. (Brenda Joyce Young), Phyllis Millender, Luretha Knox, Hilda Woods and Omega Bracey.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Wynn will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Bethel A Baptist Church in Brevard with Pastor Pamela Holder officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until time of the service. Interment will follow the service at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest.
